1.In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

I think that it is quite easy to recognise my magazine as a real magazine because I think that it looks quite professional in the way that I have strucured and layed it out, as the structure is quite similar to real magazines. For example I have used three collumns, similar to the magazine that I look at during my research. My front cover is very subtle and look quite realistic, I chose to keep it simple to make it look more sophisticated and subtle.
The magazine 'Clash' that I looked at during my research was a magazine of the same genre as mine. The front cover contained only the title, a caption and the background photograph. My magazine is very similar to this in how there is not much on the page and yet it is quite effective.

Another reason that is is possible for the reader to recognise my magazine as a real magazin is that there is a barcode on the front of my magazine, followed by the price and the 'Urge' website. I put these right in the corner of my magazine as I didnt want them to get in the way of my Background and I wanted them to look desrecte. This helps my reader recognise that my magazine is a real magazine that is sold.
Its quite easy to tell that my magazine is aimed at a younger audeince because of the model on the front my my magazine. However, I think that I could of made it more clear on the front cover that it is a music magazine by adding my anchorage about the music in my magazine. I think that it is quite clear that this magazine is aimed at people who like more alternative, Independant music because of the subtle colours that  have used and how the photogrpah on my background is different to the professionally taken photogrpahs that you would find on main-stream music magazines.
